Solid wood flooring in wet rooms

Some Osmo solid wood floorboards are, depending on the wood species and dimensions, suitable for full surface glue installation in wet rooms.

Due to the fact that bathrooms are generally small in area, swelling and shrinkage resulting from the increased humidity produced by baths or showers are uncritical for floors. Solid wood floorboards respond very slowly to changes in humidity. First after days of exposure to continuously high humidity, will an increased wood moisture content be developed and thus resulting in the swelling of the floorboards. Nevertheless, installing solid wood flooring in wet rooms causes more strain on the wood than in other rooms.
