Osmo supports local aid organization with donations for building houses in Romania

Not only with a wide product pallet with close attention to healthy and environmentally sound products, does Osmo act under the banner of “good for humans and the environment”, but also supporting charity work is important to the company. For this reason, Osmo has decided to donate money to a good cause again this year. The local connection, which the wood specialist feels towards the organization also based in Warendorf, but first and foremost the respect for their commitment, the sensible use of donations and the measurable success made this decision easy to make.

In 1993, a group of socially engaged people around the medical practitioner Dr Klaus Schäffer founded the charity organization Aktion Kleiner Prinz International Hilfe für Kinder in Not eV. They made it their mission to enable a better life for children in crisis and war-stricken regions. Nursery schools in Namibia, orphanages in India, earthquake relief in Haiti and refugee aid in the Middle East are only a few of the important projects, which Aktion Kleiner Prinz has supported.

Donations this time around went towards a unique house-building project, with which Initiator Jenny Rasche and the Children’s Aid for Transylvania (Romania) help Roma families to move into housing fit for human habitation. During the construction of these new houses, the families under the supervision of craftspeople played an active role, which creates a special sense of responsibility – for a future that stands a firm foundation. “We are immensely proud of this close collaboration, which has been going on now for many years, and would like to thank the whole team at Aktion Kleiner Prinz for their great work,” sums up Osmo Managing Director Christian Cordes.
