New product range and new concept introduced with breakthrough success

Around 45,000 visitors from 80 countries visited the fair halls in Hanover from the 11th to the 14th January 2014 in order to catch up on the latest trends and developments at the world’s leading fair for flooring. Osmo Holz und Color GmbH & Co. KG was one of the 1,350 businesses from 57 countries who were represented by a stand.

High activity and good spirits at the fair stand

At this year’s DOMOTEX, Osmo not only presented itself with a completely new, modern and open stand concept, but also for the first time it introduced the public to far-reaching revolutions in its product range in the area of floor including a new marketing concept. The reaction from the numerous dealers, professional visitors and journalists, who kept things lively at the fair stand during all four days of the fair, were thoroughly positive. While on two-thirds of the exhibition area there were product innovations in the ranges “Renovation Planks”, “Creativ-Flooring” and “ Inside-Out” to be seen, oil-based wood coatings for mechanical processing in the industry took up the rest of the stand for themselves. As finishing touch to all innovations, the comprehensive social media activities and new website were introduced, both of which were started at the end of 2013. On I-Pads installed at the stand, visitors could get first-hand experience of the online activities which had begun shortly beforehand. Furthermore, on all tables new catalogues, copies of the “Color-Magazin” and practical brochures were laid out. “This year’s DOMOTEX was the ideal platform for us to go to the public with the new positioning of our flooring range, “ summarised Thorsten Mehin, Sales Director. “Numerous customers and partners were on site and could directly and personally see the innovations for themselves.” The invariably positive reactions from visitors to the fair showed the company that these first steps towards the new positioning of the flooring range were right and support the implementation of the desired aims in the coming business year.
