Polyx–Oil very good under heavy strain
Timber flooring has to be extremely resistant if up to 60,000 people walk on it. According to Alfred Hagedorn, head of the “phänomania Erfahrungsfeld” in Essen, the surface requires a particularly good treatment so that it doesn’t wear out quickly. The exhibition in the former “Zeche Zollverein” (coal-mine tariff union), pit 3.7.10, which is predominantly visited by school classes, gives an overview over physical principles and scientific approaches. It attracts so many visitors that in the year 1996 installed oak strip parquet is exposed to high frequency.

Top grade („sehr gut“) for plankwood flooring in oak:
Osmo wins the award from ÖKO-TEST
Osmo multiply parquet, plankwood flooring oak exclusive, has clearly won the ÖKO-TEST analysis (edition No. 11, November 2007) and put itself to the top of a total of 18 tested suppliers. Without prior notice ready-to-install parquet as plankwood flooring or Schiffsboden with an oiled surface was tested. Only two suppliers got the top grade “sehr gut“; four of them were „gut“, the others were valuated „befriedigend“ or „ausreichend“. „A success we can rightly be proud of“, Karl-Heinz Dieckmann, who is responsible for the Product Management Flooring, is pleased.

Osmo leaves a mark:
Osmo´s floorings now appear with the “Real Wood” logo
Osmo is well known as a specialist for high quality solid wood flooring. To let the end consumer also directly recognize a real-wood floor, every packing unit will now include a succinct sign.
The “Real Wood” logo of the European Federation of Parquet Industry which now can be used by Osmo is a quality sign for real wood. It will be directly used for marketing purposes on packaging, samples, displays etc. as well as on the website.
“Our target is to confine from suppliers offering no real-wood and confusing their customers with terms like “real wood laminate” explains Product Manager Karl-Heinz Dieckmann. To make use of this sign at least the top layer of a flooring has to be made of real wood - with their solid wood floors Osmo can of course fulfill these requirements.
